Abstract

A valve in a polish applicator, comprises a plastics body 2 with a seat 2a and at least one resilient boss 2b to load a plastics closure member 3 to the closed position. The valve is opened by applying pressure to a flange 3c on the closure member to deflect the boss 2b. A screwed bore in the member 3 can accept a knob, shown chain-dotted. The body can have an outlet recess (4), Fig. 2 (not shown), adjacent the boss 2b, or an outlet orifice can be disposed in a side wall. The resilient boss can be formed on the closure member.
