Abstract
A gyratory crusher comprises an eccentric driving ring 2, mounted in a fixed frame 6 by a first bearing 4 having a vertical axis, and a head 1 guided inside the ring 2 by a second bearing 3 eccentric in relation to the first. A stationary scoop 13 is located in a lubricant reservoir 11, rotatable with the ring, and is connected to a pipe 15 which directs lubricant 8 to the bearings 3, 4. The reservoir is formed within a hollow driving pulley 5 and further oil is stored at level N regulated by an overflow 9. In operation oil is thrown against the inner wall 12 of the pulley and collected by the scoop 13. The ribs of the pulley assist in cooling the oil.
