Abstract

Novel compounds of formula wherein one of R 1 , R 2 or R 3 is CF 3 and others are CF 3 , H, F or Cl and R 4 is H, Cl or F with the proviso that at least one of R 1 , R 2 , R 3 or R 4 is H are prepared by reaction of a benzaldehyde of formula and amino guanidine or a salt thereof optionally followed by conversion to the base. Pharmaceutical compositions in conventional forms for oral or parenteral administration and having hypotensive activity comprise an above novel compound or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof on a carrier therefor.
