Abstract
Novel compounds of formula (wherein Ac is C 1 _ 18 carboxylic acyl) are prepared by esterification of the corresponding 17#-ol. The above novel compounds are stated to have a restraining action on pituitary gonadotrophin secretions and to be useful as longaction contraceptives. They may be made up with carriers into pharmaceutical compositions for oral, parenteral and rectal administration.
