Abstract
Apparatus for inducing draught in a chimney comprises a tubular body 1, a plurality of tubular truncated conical draught-inducing members 7 mounted within said body, and apertures 11 in the wall of the body aligned with the members 7 such that in use, an upward draught is induced in the body 1 by the effect of the members in deflecting wind impinging thereon via said apertures. The apparatus also includes a wind-drivable centrifugal turbine rotor 12 mounted in the body and extending through the members 7, the rotor having curved blades 12 mounted thereon with projections 28 adjacent their outer edges for trapping the wind.
