Abstract

A contact strip 10 comprises contacts 1, each made in one piece from, e.g. bronze sheet, and having a central portion 2, which may be U- shaped, with a shoulder 4 for retaining the spring in a compartment (11) of the strip 10 having a corresponding protrusion 13. Each contact has limbs 3 and a connecting lug 9 and is secured by material of the housing deformed into semicircular recesses 8 and by an embossed portion 7 which is resiliently held in the housing. The insulating housing is moulded in one piece with parallel rows of compartments and bevelled insertion slots 12. One side is open for the insertion of the contacts 1.
