Abstract

Apparatus for projecting a fluid light image from a stationary object plane onto a movable surface in an image plane, comprising: a lens element arranged to focus reflected light from the object plane onto the surface in the image plane means for moving the lens in a path through the object plane for scanning, a frame, a stage for supporting an original in the object plane, the stage being mounted on said frame with a respective lateral edge in cooperation with a substantially vertical wall of said frame forming an angle, an elongated lamp placed in a position adjacent to said stage, said lamp being substantially opaque and having a light transmitting opening made therein that extends in parallel with respect to said vertical wall, means for mounting said lamp in relation to said plate in such a way that the, opening of said l mto is placed in position to direct a passband corresponding illumination toward said angle, and means for moving said lamp in synchronous relationship with respect to the lens to illuminate the area of the object plane which is scanned by the latter.
