Improvements in the object of patent 382,279 for "Improvements in filter assemblies", characterized in that the filter assembly comprises an adapter plate and a filter unit, said adapter plate being arranged to be mounted on a mounting part of the assembly of filter and having an axially directed annular edge which is provided on its inner surface with an annular groove in which a retaining clamp in the form of a piece of wire is positioned, the filtering unit having, at one end, a flange protruding laterally outwards and the depth of said groove with respect to the thickness of said wire being such that it allows said flanged end of the filter unit to enter the axially directed edge of the adapter plate and pass the retaining clamp, also providing means for tensioning the ends of the retaining clamp towards each other, after the filter unit has been inserted ducted as indicated so that the clamp cooperates with said flange of the filter unit while a part of the clamp remains within said slot to prevent the filter unit from coming loose from the adapter plate.
