Abstract

Procedure for the preparation of stereoregular polymers of propylene, with high apparent density, characterized by polymerizing propylene in liquid phase, in the presence or not of a hydrocarbon solvent, at temperatures between 40 and 90ºC and in the presence of a catalytic system consisting of the product reaction of: a) violet crystalline titanium trichloride, obtained by reduction of TiCl4 with an organic aluminum compound, b) organic aluminum compounds of the general formula AlR3 and/or AlR2X (where R represents a hydrocarbon radical with 2 to 6 carbon atoms and X is a halogen), and in the presence of polypropylene prepared by liquid phase polymerization of propylene, in the presence or not of a hydrocarbon solvent, at temperatures below 30-40ºC and using the catalytic system detailed above.
