A procedure for the production of an antibiotic substance of the following general formula: **(See formula)** where Y represents (see formula) R represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom or an azido, acyloxy, alkoxy, aryloxy or SR'group (R' represents an alkyl, aryl or heterocyclic group), each of the radicals R1 and R2 represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl, aryl, aralkyl, aryloxy, cycloalkane or heterocyclic group with or without substituents or R1 and R2 can form a ring together; R3 represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom or a hydroxyl, amino, alkylamino, azido, cyano, alkyloxy, alkylthio, aryloxycarbonyl, aralkyloxycarbonyl or alkoxycarbonyl group and n represents the integer 0 or 1; whose procedure consists in reacting the salts of 6-aminopenicilánica acid or 7-aminocefalosporónicos acids of the following general formula: **(See formula)** where the symbol Y has the meaning given above, with trivalent phosphorus compounds of the following general formula: **(See formula)** where R4 represents an alkyl, haloalkyl, aryl, aralkyl, alkyloxy, haloalkyloxy, aryloxy, aralkyloxy or dialkylamino group; R5 represents an alkyl, haloalkyl, aryl, aralkyl, alkyloxy, aryloxy, haloalkyloxy, aralkyloxy or dialkylamino group or a halogen atom or R4 and R5 can form a ring and X represents a halogen atom, reacting the product thus obtained with reactive derivatives of carboxylic acids of the following general formula: **(See formula)** where R1, R2, R3 and n have the meaning described above and then solvolize the product to remove the protecting group.
