Abstract

A furnace arrangement for burning fossil fuels, comprising: a turbine intended to run on fossil fuels and air which is supplied with an excess amount of air over that required to burn the fuel; a duct attached to the outlet of said turbine for said furnace, so that when said furnace is fired with fossil fuel and air, said exhaust gas from said turbine will cause dilution of the combustion gases in said furnace to limit the temperature of said gases and therefore the concentration of nitrogen oxides found in said furnace.
