Abstract
Un procedimiento para la preparación de un catalizador de polimerización mejorado para la polimerización de una mono-l-olefina, que comprende un óxido de cromo soportado sobre una sílice porosa precipitada que tiene una superficie específica no menor de 150 metros cuadrados por gramo, siendo hexavalente al menos parte del cromo, y en que el diámetro medio de las partículas del catalizador es menor de 0,0005 milímetro, el cual procedimiento comprende depositar un óxido de cromo sobre una sílice precipitada que tiene una superficie específica no menor de 150 metros cuadrados por gramo, y activar el cuerpo compuesto resultante calentando a una temperatura dentro del margen de 177 a 816ºC, llevando al estado hexavalente al menos a una parte del cromo.
