Parallax discriminator system including in combination: a frequency selection and signal sampling circuit device having first and second signal input circuits for receiving first and second video signals and serving to provide a plurality of pairs of output signals, each of said signal pairs including a signal corresponding to a chosen frequency band of the first video signal and a signal that responds to the same frequency band of the second video signal; a plurality of parallax digital discriminator circuits connected in a parallel circuit with each other, each discriminator circuit being connected to said selection circuit to receive a different pair of said output signals, each of said discriminating circuits providing signals of output representing the phase relationship between the two input signals that are applied to it; and a signal delay circuit device including a plurality of weighted binary delay circuit devices, each connected to one of said discriminator circuits, the higher order and lower order delay circuit devices being respectively connected to the parallax circuits that receive the signals corresponding to the lower and higher frequency bands chosen and sampled by said selection and sampling circuit device.
