Abstract
Improvements in a switch for a detection and trip circuit that comprises a detector to detect the current in, at least, one line that is going to be protected by said circuit breaker; a comparator for comparing said current or each current with a predetermined current amplitude and time function and for outputting a trigger signal when the predetermined function is exceeded; tripping means for tripping said circuit breaker in response to said tripping signal; said comparator including at least one diode connected to a resistive-capacitive circuit to delay said trigger signal when currents are detected in a first predetermined range, and to reduce the delay of said trigger signal when currents are detected in a contiguous second range, predetermined, exceeding said first range, and a Zener diode circuit to generate a trip signal without delay, when currents exceeding said second range are detected.
