Abstract
Improvements in magnetic tape cassette apparatus, especially tape recorders with magnetic tape cassette, consisting of a flat, approximately parallelepiped-shaped cassette housing with bottom, lid and side walls, wrapping a roll of magnetic tape wound on a reel, the tape roll being or being able to be carried, during or after the cassette engaging with a receiving device by the apparatus, to a situation where the tape roll surface is in contact with a drive member or explorer on the part of the apparatus, characterized in that the cassette consists of two cassette parts of approximately equal volume, which by means of joining devices are connected to each other rotatable, so that when the cassette is closed, the cassette parts wrap completely to the roll of tape and when the cassette is open these parts are rotated with respect to another by means of rotation by the apparatus, at least a part of the peripheral surface of the tape roll being free for a process of actuation and exploration with actuating members or of exploration by the apparatus.
