Abstract
Improvements made to the subject of the main patent No. 403,142 for "Procedure for the preparation of 1,2,4-triazole nucleosides" especially (ß -D-ribofuranosyl) -l, 2,4-triazole nucleosides of the structure **(See formula)** in which R1 is selected from the group consisting of a) carboxaraide, b) thiocarboxamide and c) carboxamidino groups and acid addition salts, physiologically acceptable from c) and in which X is hydrogen or C1-C18 acyl, being at least one X hydrogen and being at least one X acyl, characterized in that it is preferably acylated with an acyl halide or acyl anhydride, one or more of the free hydroxyl groups of a compound of the structure **(See formula)** in that it is as indicated above and isolating the product.
