Abstract
Procedimiento para la preparación de un óxido de zinc pancromáticamente sensible, en el que se hace reaccionar óxido de zinc finamente dividido con amoniaco gaseoso y dióxido de carbono gaseoso, y el producto de reacción se caliente a una temperatura entre 190º y 350ºC , hasta que se obtiene un peso constante, caracterizado porque durante la reacción con amoníaco y dióxido de carbono, las partículas de óxido de zinc se mantienen en movimiento mutuamente y porque la reacción se termina en el momento en que la sensibilidad del óxido de zinc frente a la humedad es todavía tan baja que, al cargar hasta el potencial máximo, una capa fotoconductora aplicada a un soporte conductor y preparada en la proporción de 7:1 con el óxido de zinc pancromático y un aglomerante que no sea sensible a la humedad, necesita por lo mensos 25 segundos en el aire, a una temperatura de 40ºC y un punto de rocío de 280ºC , para que su potencial decaiga hasta la mistad en la oscuridad
