Abstract

Un procedimiento y un dispositivo correspondiente para el tratamiento continuo de lodo húmedo obtenido en una planta depuradora, caracterizado el procedimiento porque el lodo húmedo es conducido con un contenido de agua de a lo sumo 95% a un recipiente de aireación para lodo húmedo, en el que el lodo se airea con un gas oxigenado o con oxigeno puro, de modo que, debido al proceso biológico de transformación, se producen en el lodo temperaturas comprendidas en el intervalo de entre 40 y 80ºC, retirándose el lodo así tratado previamente al cabo de un determinado tiempo de permanencia del recipiente de aireación para el lodo húmedo, extrayéndose de él, en estado caliente, el agua hasta que el contenido de ella ese de 80 a 50% y exponiéndose el lodo deshidratado a un compostaje.
