Abstract
Aparato interruptor térmico que incluye un par de elementos de hilo conductor eléctrico dispuesto el uno al lado del otro y que tiene unas extremidades libres que se extienden generalmente en la misma dirección formando dichas secciones de interruptor y dichas secciones de terminales de hilo, incluyendo la sección de interruptor una región de contacto localizada que constituye un circuito conductor eléctrico entre los elementos del hilo, incluyendo por lo menos uno de dichos elementos de hilo conductor en la sección de interruptor, un dispositivo elástico que orienta las regiones de contacto y las porciones adyacentes del par de elementos de hilo conductor en sentidos opuestos la una respecto a la otra, estando las extremidades libres, la región de contacto y por lo menos una parte del dispositivo elástico encapsulados en un material termofusible no conductor, estando los hilos conductores mantenidos en contra de la fuerza de orientación elástica, en contacto eléctrico el uno con el otro por medio del material de encapsulamiento, estando el material termofusible no conductor y las porciones del hilo conductor adyacentes al dispositivo elástico que se extienden fuera del material encapsulado revestidos uniformemente con un material aislante rígido para encapsular totalmente el material termofusible y separar y aislar eléctricamente la una de la otra, las secciones terminales de hilo que sobresalen, con lo cual los hilos conductores de la sección de interruptor encapsulada pueden separarse elásticamente el uno del otro interrumpiendo el contracto entre ellos en la región de contacto cuando el material termofusible está sometido a un nivel de temperatura predeterminado que produce su fusión y la liberación de la energía almacenada en el dispositivo elástico.
