Abstract
Mejoras en los generadores magnetohidrodinámicos, del tipo que comprende un conducto para un corriente principal de plasma, unos medios para generar un campo magnético y un conjunto de electrodos para inyectar una corriente de plasma en la corriente principal de plasma, comprendiendo el conjunto de electrodos un electrodo central alargado dentro de un electrodo hueco, una entrada de gas hacia el interior del electrodo hueco, una fuente de tensión para cebar un arco entre el electrodo central y el electrodo hueco con el fin de ionizar el gas, y una salida para que el gas ionizado circule hacia el interior de la corriente principal de plasma, siendo dirigido el campo magnético a lo largo del electrodo central para hacer que el arco se desplace alrededor del electrodo central, caracterizadas porque el campo magnético es dirigido con componentes tanto a lo largo como perpendicularmente al electrodo central (22) para hacer que el arco oscile adicionalmente hacia atrás y hacia delante a lo largodel electrodo central al tiempo que gira alrededor del electrodo central.
