Abstract

This system is intended to make it possible, with increased cutting-shears capacity, to feed the concrete-reinforcement bars, which are to be cut, from storage beds (1), starting from a position which is appropriate for cutting, to cutting shears (10). Due to their considerable length of up to approximately 20 m, the concrete-reinforcement bars are often located in the storage beds in an oblique manner in the vertical and horizontal directions and are thus not appropriate for cutting. The concrete-reinforcement bars to be cut are moved, by means of a removal device, that is to say, for example, in bundles by means of a winch, onto a longitudinal conveyor and store which is located parallel to the storage beds (1) and extends in the longitudinal direction of the concrete-reinforcement bars. The longitudinal conveyor and store may be a rolling path (5). It can be oriented in an aligned manner on a cutting-shears path (2) within which the cutting shears (10) are arranged. By means of, for example, driveable rollers (6), then in each case as many concrete-reinforcement bars can be conveyed onto the cutting-shears path (2) as are to be cut by means of one cut of the cutting shears (10). Thereafter, the cutting is carried out by the cutting shears (10). The cut concrete-reinforcement bars are subsequently conveyed from the cutting-shears path (2), for example by means of transverse conveying means (15), onto a collecting path (3) and, from there, are conveyed away. It is essential that, in this manner, concrete-reinforcement bars are fed to the cutting shears always in a position and number appropriate for cutting.
