Abstract

Se proporcionan métodos y composiciones para la eliminación eficaz de materiales que ensucian y que se adhieren fuertemente a las lentes de contacto, particularmente las lentes de contacto blandas y las lentes de contacto de silicona, empapando las lentes en una disolución limpiadora. Para un uso repetido por el usuario de la lente de contacto, se usa una disolución limpiadora que comprende una resina de silicona modificada con polialcohilenoxi y una amida de ácido graso (o un compuesto análogo nitrogenado) de una amina que al menos está disustituida. Puede haber presentes otros aditivos, tales como tensioactivos catiónicos, agentes espesantes, sal bactericidas, y similares. La disolución es particularmente eficaz cuando se emplea como material auxiliar a usar según un régimen que comprende un limpiador diario y el limpiador de la invención a intervalos menos frecuentes. Para limpiar la lente después de su mecanizado, en la disolución limpiadora se emplea una combinación de tensioactivos derivados de amidas de ácidos grasos.
