Abstract

Procedimiento para la preparación de composiciones de recubrimiento, solubles en disolventes orgánicos, a base de glicolurilos, caracterizado porque comprende, en una primera etapa, preparar un derivado de alcoximetil glicolurilo (A) de fórmula general: (** formula**) en donde n es un entero entre 1 y 4 inclusiva; m es un entero entre 0 y 2 inclusive, cada R es individualmente ya sea hidrógeno o un radical alquilo que tiene de 1 a 6 átomos de carbono inclusive ; R 2 y R3 son separadamente hidrógeno o un radical alquilo que tiene de 1 a 6 átomos de carbono inclusivo o en primer lugar con 1 a 4 moles de formaldehído para formar un glicolurilo total o parcialmente metilado y a continuación se hace reaccionar con 1 a 4 moles de un alcohol monohidrico para formar el derivado alcoximetil glicolurilo; y, en una segunda etapa, se mezcla de 2% a 50% aproximadamente en peso del derivado (A) con aproximadamente 98% a aproximadamente 50% en peso, de (B) un material polímero normalmente no auto entrecruzante, soluble en disolventes orgánicos que tiene como grupo reactivos, uno o mas de grupos carbonilo, grupos hidrocilo alcohólicos o grupos de amida en donde la cantidad de dichos grupos es por lo menos aproximadamente 0,5% en peso, y no mas de aproximadamente 25% en peso, en base el peso total de dicho material polímero ; y (c) de aproximadamente 0,05% 5,0 % en peso, de un catalizador ácido en base al peso total de (A) y (b) en peso, totalizan 100% y se basen en el peso total de sólidos (a) y (b).
