Abstract

"Procedimiento y dispositivo de fusión de materias minerales, principalmente vitrificables", caracterizados porque la materia a fundir es conducida bajo forma de elementos sólidos granulares tales como bolas, plaquetas, gravillas y equivalentes, cada elemento contiene principalmente el conjunto de los componentes en las proporciones necesarias para la formación del vidrio y en que estos elementos son precalentados a una temperatura inferior a la del fritado, después depositadas en la superficie de una capa delgada de materia fundida de igual composición y sometidas a un calentamiento intensivo por corrientes gaseosas calientes dirigidas sensiblemente perpendicular a la superficie de fusión, el movimiento de la masa fundida obtenida es tal que asegura la evacua hacia abajo, desde su fusión, de esta masa vítrea y renueva la capa receptora sobre la cual son conducidos después del precalentamiento los elementos sólidos de la materia prima.
