Abstract

Novel amides of (2-pyrimidylthio)-alkanoic acids possessing an antilipemic activity and methods for their preparation by reaction of an activated derivative of the corresponding acids, such as an acyl chloride or mixed anhydride, and a secondary amine, or by reaction of the corresponding (2-pyrimidinylthio)-alkanoic acids and aziridine or finally by fusion of the amides of (4,6-dichloro-2-pyrimidinylthio)-alkanoic acids with a secondary amine are described.
