Abstract
The installation has an absorber with a sheet of glass in front the building to be heated is behind the absorber. Fresh air is passed over the absorber surface and then into the building to be warmed. The fresh air, which may mingle with re-circulating air later, pref. enters at the bottom of the sheet of glass, passes up between this and the absorber (up and down, if the glazing is double) before passing int the building. The absorber may be double-glazed, and to have roller blinds of reflective material (pref. metallised polyester with a protective coating) fitted between the two sheets of glass. The blinds are to be lowered at night, to prevent the absorber re-radiating its heat into the night air.
