Abstract

Procedimiento para ensayar la susceptibilidad de un microorganismo a los antibióticos, mediante una técnica de dilución seriada, caracterizado porque comprende: formar una serie de concentraciones de soluciones en agua de un antibiótico en una concentración uniforme de poli (vinil pirrolidona) como agente formador de cuerpo soluble en agua y portador de retención de antibióticos, introducir cantidades uniformes de dichas series de concentraciones en una serie de cámaras de ensayo; congelar y secar por congelación dicha serie de concentraciones; almacenar hasta el momento del uso; y reconstituir el antibiótico en la poli (vinil pirrolidona) mediante la adicción de un medio de cultivo inoculado con un microorganismo de ensayo; incubar; y leer entonces el crecimiento del microorganismo de ensayo.
