Abstract
Un método para afinar metales fundidos que contienen una impureza que es oxidable de modo preferencial con respecto a uno o más elementos constituyentes seleccionados del metal y que forma un óxido gaseoso, que comprende inyectar oxígeno y un gas diluyente en el metal fundido contenido en un recipiente, para reducir la proporción de la impureza en el metal por desprendimiento en forma de óxido gaseoso.
