Abstract

Aparato mejorado de almacenamiento de datos que comprende una pila de discos de registro montados para rotación sobre un eje de accionamientouna pluralidad de cabezas de registro y reproducción asociada cada una de ellas con una correspondiente de una pluralidad de superficies de datos en los discos para efectuar operaciones de transducción en las pistas de datos en ellasconsistiendo cada pista de datos en sectores de datos para registro y/o reproducción de datos sobre ellos mediante una cabeza de datos que alternan con sectores de servo que contienen información de posición de pista de datos previamente registrada para esa pista legible por la misma cabeza de datosun transductor de servo acoplado para movimiento con las cabezas de datos y asociado con medios de servo que proporcionan información continua de posición de pista de datos legible por el traductor de servo.
