Abstract
Un procedimiento para la obtención de óxido de etilenoen el que el etileno se pone en contacto en fase vapor con un gas que contiene oxígeno molecular a una temperatura comprendida entre 150 y 300ºC en presencia de un catalizador de platacaracterizado porque el catalizador es un catalizador mejorado obtenido lavando un catalizador de plata que se ha utilizado en la preparación de óxido de etileno haciendo reaccionar etileno con oxígeno molecularcon agua o con una mezcla de agua y un disolvente orgánico miscible en aguay depositando desde 000004 a 0008 pesos equivalente-gramo por kilogramo (basado en el catalizador completo) de iones de uno o más de los metales alcalinos sodiopotasiorubidio o cesio sobre el catalizador lavado.
