Abstract

Procedimiento para la preparación de un material decorativo, de recubrimiento, de conformado, susceptible de ser utilizado en sustitución del cuero natural y dotado de excelentes propiedades mecánicas, en el cual se trata de acuerdo con las técnicas papeleras un soporte que comprende fibras celulósicas por medio de una dispersión o suspensión acuosa de una sustancia macromolecular, caracterizándose el mencionado procedimiento porque sucesivamente: a) se introduce en el soporte fibroso una dispersión acuosa de por lo menos un agente ligante, b) se impregna el soporte fibroso así tratado, por medio de un primer baño acuoso que comprende por lo menos una sustancia macromolecular seleccionada entre el conjunto constituido por los polímeros y copolímeros acrílicos, c) se reviste el soporte así tratado, por medio de un segundo baño acuoso que comprende por lo menos una sustancia macromolecular seleccionada entre el conjunto constituido por los polímeros y copolímeros vinílicos y acrílicos, para obtener una capa intermedia, d) se somete el material así obtenido a un revestimiento por medio de un tercer baño acuoso que comprende por lo menos una sustancia macromolocular seleccionada entre el conjunto constituido por los polímeros y copolímeros vinílicos y acrílicos, y al menos un agente de coalescencia, para obtener una capa llamada de acabado, y porque, si es necesario, se somete el material resultante a por lo menos un tratamiento mecánico para dar particularmente el aspecto deseado.
