Abstract

Un procedimiento para la producción de alquilbencenos clorados en el núcleo que consiste en hacer reaccionar, en fase líquida, un alquilbenceno con cloro, en presencia de un catalizador ácido de Lewis y de un cocatalizador constituido por un compuesto de tiantreno o una mezcla de compuestos de tiantreno, caracterizados por la fórmula: **(Fórmula)** donde n es 0 o 1, y- es un sustituyente aceptor de electrones o un sustituyente donador de electrones y cada símbolo x es hidrógeno, un sustituyente aceptor de electrones o un sustituyente donador de electrones; el número total de sustituyentes aceptores de electrones presente en las posiciones x- e y- es como mínimo 1 y como máximo 7; el número total de sustituyentes donadores de electrones es como mínimo 1 y como máximo 4; no hay más de 3 sustituyentes donadores de electrones en las posiciones peri y con la condición de que cuando los sustituyentes aceptores de electrones se encuentran en cada una de las posiciones peri, los sustituyentes donadores de electrones están en cada una de las posiciones 2, 3, 7 y 8.
