Abstract

Un procedimiento para la producción de los antibióticos antitumorales MA 144-M1 o MA 144-M2 de fórmula general **(Fórmula)** donde R representa un átomo de hidrógeno en el caso de MA 144- M1 o un grupo hidroxilo en el caso de MA 144-M2 o una sal de adición ácida, no tóxica de los mismos, cuyo procedimiento comprende a) reducir químicamente aclacinomicina A en el caso de MA 144- M1 o cinerrubina A en el caso de MA 144-M2, con un agente reductor seleccionado entre el grupo formado por borohidruro de sodio, hidruros de litio e hidruros de aluminio en un sistema disolvente único o en un sistema disolvente mixto, y b) opcionalmente, recuperar el MA 144-M1 o el MA 144-M2 de la mezcla de reacción con o sin salificación.
