Abstract
Un procedimiento para la preparación de un compuesto de tetraorganoestaño, caracterizado por hacer reaccionar un haluro orgánico de fórmula RX, donde R es un grupo alquilo de 1 a 20 átomos de carbono o un grupo alquenilo de 2 a 20 átomos de carbono y X es un átomo de cloro, bromo o yodo, con una suspensión caliente de cinc en un líquido que contiene por lo menos una sal onio que es una sal de amonio o fosfonio cuaternario orgánico o una sal de sulfonio terciario, para formar un producto de reacción del haluro orgánico y cinc y después agregar estaño al producto de reacción, siendo la relación atómica de cinc a estaño de 0,5:1 como mínimo, seguido de calefacción para producir el compuesto de tetraorganoestaño.
