Abstract
Perfeccionamientos en electrodos para hornos de arco voltaico, especialmente para la producción de acero y de hierro, hecho de una parte superior, refrigerada por líquido e insertable en un portaelectrodos, a la que está sujeta soltablemente la parte inferior, que forma la punta del electrodo, y en el que dicha parte superior contiene, protegido por una masa refractaria, un sistema de conducción para el líquido refrigerante por el cual es conducible también la corriente eléctrica del electrodo de horno voltaico, caracterizados porque en la cara externa, vuelta hacia el recinto del horno, del sistema de conducción (7, 31, 53, 61, 62) se han establecido salientes termoconductores (20, 35) recubiertos por la masa refractaria (18) y en que la zona del punto de sujeción (23) de la punta del electrodo (3, 64) está dispuesto un dispositivo (24, 37, 72, 83) para la creación de un campo magnético (38, 63) por medio del cual se puede poner en movimiento el arco voltaico sobre la punta del electrodo.
