Abstract

A cooling tower has a parallelepipedic casing with a bottom section and top section that have an inlet and outlet respectively for the gases. Between these sections are a number of tube bundle casing components, the upper and lower casing components having an inlet and outlet connection for the cooling agent. On the tube bundle casing components the lateral sides are extended beyond the tube plate at each end. An end plate is bolted on and top and bottom flanges form a complete header box for each tube section. At one end there is a division plate dividing the tube bundle in half to form a 2-pass bundle. At this end the top and bottom flanges forming part of the header box have holes to connect them to the tube sections below and above. System redues mfg. costs, simplifies transportation and assembly.
