Abstract
A method of manufacturing an electrical conductor comprising a metal conductor element having around an insulation of a polyolefin polymeric compound resistant to inflammation including a halogen-containing flame retardant and enhanced electrical properties, consisting of the pretreatment of the halogen-containing flame retardant by dispersion of a hot reactive silicone liquid comprising a combination of polyfunctional methyl silanols through the flame retardant and heating of the flame retardant with the hot reactive silicone liquid dispersed therethrough, then combining said silicone and the hot pretreated flash retarder with a polyolefin polymer composite insulation and application thereof to a metallic conductive element.
