Abstract

El invento se refiere a la obtención de formas ópticamente activas de compuestos de fórmula general I cuando la molécula incluye por lo menos un átomo de carbono asimétrico. Además, cuando R1 es un radical alcohilo inferior, el átomo de carbono en 4 del núcleo piperídico es asimétrico y da lugar a la formación de isomeros geométricos que pueden separarse y aislarse. Los compuestos de fórmula general I, así como sus sales de adición con un ácido mineral u orgánico, se caracterizan por propiedades farmacológicas interesantes en particular propiedades hipotensivas pronunciadas. Manifiestan -incluso por vía intravenosa- una toxicidad reducida y, por tanto, su margen terapéutico es importante.
