Abstract
Un método para proteger superficies marinas contra el crecimiento de organismos incrustantes, que comprende las operaciones de tratar dicha superficie marina con una composición de recubrimientos que contiene como aditivo un precursor líquido biológicamente activo, en donde el precursor tiene la fórmula **(Fórmula)** donde m es de alrededor de 1 a alrededor de 10, donde cada X se selecciona independientemente del grupo que consta de radicales (R) alcohilo y alcoxialcohilo que contiene menos de alrededor de 6 átomos de carbono e Y, donde cada Y en el precursor es independientemente un radical de estaño trisustituido.
