Abstract

Un procedimiento mejorado para la conversión catalítica de hidrocarburos, que comprende poner en contacto un hidrocarburo con una composición catalítica que incluye una combinación de una cantidad catalíticamente eficaz de un componente de renio-carbonilo pirolizado con un material soporte poroso que contiene una dispersión uniforme de una cantidad catalíticamente eficaz de un componente del grupo del platino, mantenido en el estado metálico elemental, efectuándose la puesta en contacto de hidrocarburo con la composición catalítica en presencia de hidrógeno y bajo condiciones de reformación que incluyen una temperatura de 371 a 593ºC, una presión de 1 a 69 atm, una velocidad espacial horaria de líquido de 0,1 a 10 hr-1 y una relación molar entre hidrógeno e hidrocarburo de 1:1 a 20:1.
