Abstract

Procedimiento para la fabricación de artículos moldeados de corte sesgado, caracterizado porque comprende las etapas de: (a) introducir una composición que comprende un polímero fundido de etileno, un agente reticulante y un agente espumante químico, en un mole que tiene una superficie de corte sesgado y componentes cerrados que resisten la expansión de la composición, pero que pueden ser abiertos para permitir la expansión de la composición; (b) someter la composición dentro de los componentes cerrados del molde, a una temperatura suficiente para activar el agente reticulante y suficiente para descomponer el agente espumante de modo que pueda expandir la composición al abrir los componentes cerrados del molde; y (c) abrir los componentes cerrados del molde para permitir la expansión de la composición por el agente espumante; tras lo cual la composición en expansión se separa y libera por si misma de la superficie de corte sesgado del molde para facilitar así la separación del molde de un artículo reticulado espumado.
