Abstract
Procedimiento sencillo en dos etapas para preparar las mercaptidas de metales alcalino-térreos deseadas útiles como agentes sinérgicos para estabilizadores de organoestaño. El procedimiento proporciona excelentes rendimientos con ahorros sustanciales sobre otros métodos conocidos actualmente. La primera etapa del procedimiento está representada por las dos ecuaciones III y IV siguientes, dependiendo de si el material de partida es el óxido o el hidróxido del Metal M. **fórmula** ó **fórmula** en donde M es un metal alcalino-térreo (un metal del grupo IIa de la tabla periódica) ; y R es un radical hidrocarbonado que tiene de 1 a 20 átomos de carbono y se selecciona del grupo que consiste en alcohilo, cicloalcohilo o aralcohilo, sustituido opcionalmente con grupo inertes tal como halógeno y alcoxi; y x es un número de 0 a 16. En la segunda estapa, la mercaptida de metal alcalino-térreo se produce de acuerdo con la reacción : **fórmula** en donde: R es un radical hidrocarbonado (tal como alcohilo, cicloalcohilo, arilo o alcohilo-arilo mixto) de 1-22 átomos de carbono, opcionalmente sustituido con halógeno ** fórmula**, en donde: R2 es un grupo alcohilo, alquenilo, cicloalcohilo, arilo o alcohilo-arilo mixto de 1 a 20 átomos de carbono; X e Y se seleccionan independientemente de O y S. M es preferiblemente calcio o bario t R'' es preperiblemente metilo o etilo.
