Abstract
De acuerdo con el presente invento, se produce energía sísmica a partir de una agrupación lineal de manantiales o fuentes a lo lardo de un línea de exploración y es dirigida hacia abajo en un ángulo tal que después de entrar en una estratifificación establecida situada por debajo de la superficie es refractada a través de dicha estratificación en una dirección que es paralela a dicho líndero de estratificación con la estratificación situada inmediatamente encima. Después de salir de dicha estratificación, la energía sísmcia refractada se desplaza hacia arriba para intersecar al menos un receptor sísmico a lo largo de la línea de exploración. La directividad de la energía sísmica resulta de un retraso en los tiempos de cebado o activación para cada manantial a lo largo de la agrupación lineal de manantiales. En un aspecto del invento, los retrasos en cebar o activar los manantiales son seleccionados de manera tal que disponen la directividad del lóbulo máximo de la agrupación de manantialesdentro de la respuesta de mitad de energía de la agrupación. En otro aspecto, la longitud de la agrupación de manantiales es hecha máxima por lo que las trayectorias de radiación entrante y saliente para la energía sísmica caen dentro de la respuesta de mitad de energía de la agrupación de manantiales.
