Abstract

Conjunto de combustible nuclear compuesto adaptado para ser utilizado con un reactor nuclear térmico que tiene un refrigerante líquido que fluye hacia arriba a través de un núcleo que incluye dichos conjuntos dispuestos verticalmente, incluyendo dichos conjuntos: una pluralidad de estructuras de barras de combustible nuclear de forma alargada que contienen combustible nuclear fisionable situado en una vaina herméticamente cerrada, y que están dispuestas en un conjunto generalmente regular, y una pluralidad de estructuras en forma de retículo dispuestas alrededor de dichas estructuras de barra separadas a alturas predeterminadas para soportar lateralmente dichas estructuras de barra en células individuales, caracterizado porque dichas estructuras de baras de combustibles (40, 42) incluye haces de barras de combustibles superiores (40) e inferiores (42) separadas axialmente por una distancia predeterminada (70) el uno del otro, existiendo un menor número de barras de combustible (42) en dichohaz inferior, pero teniendo un mayor diámetro estas barras que en dicho haz de barras de combustible superiores, teniendo la periferia de las estructuras de retículo (57) del haz inferior un tamaño sustancialmente similar al de la periferia de las estructuras de retículo (56) del haz de combustible superior.
