Abstract

Procedimiento y dispositivo para mejorar el enfriamiento externo de una válvula de escape de un motor de combustión interna, principalmente de un motor diesel sobrealimentado, y con períodos de apertura de las válvulas de admisión y de escape respectivamente de un mismo cilindro que se recubren mutuamente en un valor predeterminado caracterizado dicho procedimiento porque consisten en prolongar el período de apertura de la válvula de escape más allá del instante normal de cierre impidiéndole cerrase enteramente en este instante per reduciendo la sección de paso libre entre la válvula y su asiento a un valor residual sensiblemente constante y bajo en relación con la sección de paso máximo correspondiente a la plena apertura de la válvula.
