Abstract

Esta invención se relaciona con la recuperación de oxído de etileno a partir de soluciones acuosas que lo contienen y, más específicamente, se relaciona con un sistema de recuperación mejorado en el cual el óxido de etileno se separa de una solución acuosa impura que contiene impureza aldehidicas. Las mezclas diluidas de oxido de etileno, obtenidas a partir de estas reacciones, que pueden efectuarse adecuadamente en reactores de lecho fijo o fluidificado, son lavadas con agua para formar una solución acuosa de oxido de etileno y separar con ello el oxígeno de etileno sin reaccionar, oxígeno y otros componentes gaseosos de la mezcla de reacción.
