Un sistema para llevar al conductor de un vehículo información referente al estado físico de un neumático acoplado a una rueda del vehículo, que comprende un dispositivo de percepción asociado con el neumático y montado en el neumático o en la rueda para rotación con el mismo, un dispositivo de producción de señal incorporado en, o asociado con, el dispositivo de percepción para generar una señal eléctrica que guarde una relación conocida con el efecto físico al cual es sensible el dispositivo de percepción, un elemento de transmisión asociado con el neumático y al cual es comunicada dicha señal eléctrica, un elemento de recepción dispuesto para estar en comunicación con el elemento de transmisión en un tramo de circuito eléctrico que comprende una parte del neumático en contacto con la superficie del terreno o de la carretera sobre la cual está apoyado el vehículo, y un dispositivo indicador sensible a las señales recibidas por el elemento de recepción
