Abstract
La invención consiste en proporcionar un circuito de supervision de sistema de control de canales redundantes que funciona basándose en el supuesto de que la mayoría de los fallos del circuito de control son catastróficos. Un fallo catastrófico está indicado poru n cambio importante de la salida durante un periodo de tiempo relativamente corto. El circuito de supervisión incluye un circuito de selección de canales que recibe las entradas procedentes de ambos canales idénticos del sistema de control y determina el canal defectuoso. La selección se efectúa mediante la comparación en dos etapas. En la primera etapa se comparan las salidas de ambos canales con una salida previamente almacenada, o un promedio de salidas previas. En esta primera comparación, la salida almacenada se sustrae de cada salida de canal para proporcionar unas primeras y segunda salidas iguales a las diferencias entre las salidas de los canales y la salida almacenada. En la segunda comparación, los valores absolutos de las salidas de la primera comparación se sustraen. La polaridad de la salida de la segunda comparación indica el canal defectuoso.
