Abstract

Un procedimiento para la preparación de ésteres alfa-naftólicos de ácidos carboxílicos alifáticos mediante reacción de naftaleno con ácidos carboxílicos alifáticos, caracterizado porque se hace reaccionar naftaleno con un ácido carboxílico alifático en un medio constituido por un ácido carboxílico alifático y en presencia de un sistema constituido por un compuesto salino de cobalto II, por una cetona conteniendo en su estructura, por lo menos, un grupo metilénico o metínico en posición alfa con respecto al grupo carbonílico , y por oxígeno, a una temperatura comprendida entre 70 y 110ºC.
