Abstract

1. - Un método mejorado de impedir la deficiencia de hierro en lechones, que comprende las etapas de administrar a los lechones un bloque alimentación nutriente duro, produciéndose dicho bloque por un proceso que comprende mezclar aproximadamente 1,5 a 3,5% en peso de hierro elemental, seleccionado del grupo que consta de cloruro ferroso, sulfato ferroso, citrato férrico amónico, fumarato ferroso, lactato ferroso, maleato ferroso, acetato ferroso, cloruro férrico, citrato férrico, maleato ferroso y succinato ferroso, aproximadamente 5 a aproximadamente 30% en peso de grasa seleccionada de grupo que consta de grasas para ganado y grasas animales comestibles, incluyendo grasa, sebo de calidad blanqueable, grasa amarilla, manteca de cerdo y manteca de vacuno, aproximadamente 3 a 15% de óxido de magnésico, aproximadamente 1 a 9% de una fuente de fósforo seleccionada del grupo que consta de polifosfato amónico, fosfato monoamónico y pirofosfato teetrasódico, y aproximadamente 0,5 a 5,0% de arcilla, sometiéndose dicha formulación a una acción de cizalladura a alta velocidad para dispersar la arcilla, la grasa animal, el hierro elemental y el óxido de magnesio, de modo que se obtiene una mezcla nutriente viscosa que se consolida químicamente hasta solidificarse formando un bloque duro resistente a la intemperie.
